[#037] My First Billion: Rich People Problems
Not every week on the road to a billion looks like a highlight reel.
Most never do.
I’m reminded of one of my favorite quotes…
“A well-run business is a boring business!”
-Richard Koch
Monday, I was basically out of office.
My wife had some issues with her truck, so I spent the morning riding around making sure everything was straight with that.
Drove 40 minutes to get the parts she required…
…and later, while we were headed to my niece’s bday dinner, we got a call from the mechanic who let us know one of the parts wasn’t the right part. Lol
Funny thing is... I'm buying a new car myself, but I'm not getting anything until she's squared away first.
Meanwhile, the business kept moving.
I made it home in time to onboard a new client Monday.
Tuesday, I onboarded two new people on our enrollment team... because the demand coming off our 2-day workshop is more than we expected (kinda).
Which is a good problem to have.
But here's the thing about good problems...
They're still problems if you don't solve them. Demand you can't respond to isn't momentum, it's leakage.
So we plugged it.
Speaking of “good problems,” during a coaching call this week, a client came on the call talking about the rough week she had.
She was filing police reports and dealing with unruly tenants in one of her properties.
I reminded her that those are Rich People Problems.
I went on to say…
Just think about it…
In a previous season, a goal you had was to be a real estate investor and landlord.
Now you have the financial wealth to do it, but it doesn’t come without the problems.
Regardless if you want more money, clients, leads, team, real estate or whatever…
There are “challenges,” aka problems that come with them.
I could go on and on, but you get the point.
The rest of the week consisted of:
Solid coaching calls, our sales sync, training conversations with the new enrollment team, and I got my Wednesday protocol in.
I nailed my calorie intake, training sessions with my Health Coach, took the boys to boxing and 7 hrs of sleep Monday-Wednesday and Thursday broke my streak because I woke up 10 mins early lol
Can I still count that one?
I also did a Bible study with my guy Dave which was pretty cool.
Thursday...
Knocked out content plus a conversation with a really solid young lady with a great business who's coming on board to work with us…
And a partnership conversation mapping out a joint workshop.
And then there's today.
Today is the VIP day... an intimate group, in person.
Tomorrow, we're going live from the venue... but virtual. So you can be in the room from wherever you are.
This week wasn’t sexy, but here's what I want you to take from this week:
It's tempting to think scale means every week has to be loud.
The loud weeks get the attention, but the light weeks build the machine that sustains the loud weeks.
That’s it for now.
Tell those you love that you love them.
