Two Billionaire Lessons I learned Today, That You Can Apply Whatever Your Financial Status is

Billionaire Robert Smith just taught me two things that I had to share with you.
Just in case you're not aware of who Robert is...
He's said to be one of the wealthiest Black American history and the founder of Vista Equity Partners (they acquire majority stake ownership in enterprise software companies)...
...managing over $100B in assets and a portfolio of 89 companies.
He dropped $34 million to pay off the student loans of the entire graduating class of 2019 at Morehouse College (he made this announcement during his commencement speech.
He also later launched the Student Freedom Initiative, which is focused on helping reduce student loan debt for students in STEM programs at HBCUs.
Two lessons I Learned....
Ok, back to the two lessons he taught me (in a podcast I watched him on)...
#1: He said that “Everything under the curve is waste.”
This is a foreign concept for me, so I had to do a lil' research.
Here's what I discovered:
This is an engineering and systems-thinking metaphor to describe inefficiency in processes, specifically, the lag between when action is needed and when it actually happens.
In engineering (especially process control), there's a concept called the response curve or control curve. Imagine a graph:
→ The x-axis = time
→ The y-axis = performance, output, or accuracy
If you're reacting too late or too slowly to inputs (like market changes, customer needs, or inefficiencies), there's a lag.
The area under the curve before your system corrects or responds = wasted time, energy, or resources.
So Robert’s saying:
"If you’re not automating or systemizing responses and processes fast enough, you're bleeding time and money."
Quick Translation for entrepreneurs:
→ Every manual task = waste (unless it's relationship building)
→ Every delayed decision = waste.
→ Every time you "check in" instead of automating = waste.
→ Every hour you're working because systems aren't = waste.
Robert showed a graph with a bell curve and said:
“Most businesses operate somewhere in the middle, average performance, lots of unnecessary friction, waste, and human dependency. But the magic? That’s on the edges.”
What does that mean for you?
It means:
→ Long meetings? Waste.
→ Micromanagement? Waste.
→ Running your whole business through your brain and calendar? Waste.
The longer you stay “under the curve,” the more you bleed time, money, and freedom.
If your day is filled with activity that doesn't create leverage, you’re not building a business…
You're babysitting one.
If your business doesn’t react instantly, like AI agents or optimized systems would, you’re leaving performance, profit, and peace on the table.
Here's What To Do Next
This was confirmation why the upcoming virtual business school I'm doing, starting Monday, teaching the 4-Hour Workday™ system, is so important, because we'll be...
Helping entrepreneurs eliminate what’s “under the curve” by installing systems that:
→ Respond in real time
→ Reduce manual decision-making
→ Free up the founder’s time
→ Maximize efficiency and profit

I’m covering the tab because I don’t want you wasting another quarter doing it the hard way.

Speaking of AI and AI-Agents, that leads me to...
#2: They’re Deploying Agentic AI Factories to Replace 90,000+ High-Paid Jobs
This is 89 companies...
90,000+ employees.
He’s not talking about just marketing automations or ChatGPT prompts.
Agentic AI refers to systems that operate independently; making decisions, executing tasks, and driving results without needing you to prompt them every 5 seconds.
He’s talking about replacing high-level knowledge workers; engineers, coders, computer scientists... with systems.
“Over the next 3 to 5 years, this shift will eliminate the need for most of these jobs.”
That’s not a theory.
That’s a billionaire-backed, in-progress implementation.
Now let that sink in…
If billionaires are already deploying AI to replace elite technical roles…
What happens to:
→ Freelancers who depend on low-level tasks?
→ Agencies still selling manual services?
→ Coaches and consultants without legit expertise?
→ Founders still running their business like it’s 2019?
If you're not learning to own systems that work without you, you're about to get run over by them.
The name of the game now is:
→ Leaner teams
→ Tighter systems
→ Less manual input
→ Great output (profit, performance, and impact)
While Robert is doing this for huge companies...
I just finalized a partnership with someone who specializes in installing these agentic AI systems into small businesses.
We'll be diving into this Monday during the 4-Hour Workday™ System training, so you can stay above the curve and thrive during this massive shift in how we do business.
